Jerusalem: More than 1,600 former Israeli paratroopers and infantry soldiers have joined forces to demand a deal that would bring captives back from Gaza and end the ongoing war.
According to reports from Yedioth Ahronoth and other Israeli media, the group insists that the captives must be returned, even if it means halting the fighting, in order to save Israeli lives.
In addition to these veterans, more than 170 graduates from an elite tech leadership program at the Military Intelligence Unit have signed a separate letter calling for an end to the war and the return of all captives.
Their message reflects a growing call from within the military community for urgent action to address both the humanitarian and security aspects of the conflict.
Other notable voices, including Air Force reservists, doctors, ex-Mossad members, navy reservists, and military intelligence personnel, have also added their support to similar letters.
These calls, coming from a diverse group of current and former military professionals, highlight the increasing pressure on the government to end the conflict and secure the safe return of those held in Gaza.
